Our projects
CEDRE carries out a wide range of research projects, either independently or in collaboration with partners, on global, European and national scales, to enhance knowledge of accidental water pollution. We conduct studies on the behaviour of pollutants, detection and modelling systems, as well as spill response equipment, in order to respond effectively in the event of an incident.
MARINER
Enhancing HNS preparedness through training and exercising
POSOW II
Production of manuals and training materials to improve spill preparedness in the Mediterranean region
DISHY
Investigating the impact of oil contamination in hypoxic areas and the use of dispersant as a response technique
HNS-MS
Development of a decision support system for chemical spills at sea
MESOCOSM ARCTIC
Behavior of oil in the polar environment and response techniques
POLLUPROOF
Proof improvement of HNS maritime pollution by airborne radar and optical facilities
SPRES
Development of oil spill prevention and response systems at local scales
MOST
Development of a tool to analyse and predict the evolution of drifting oil slicks
MEDESS-4MS
Development of a prevention and response tool at local scale in case of accidental oil spill
