Our CSR commitments

Our mission is to provide long-term protection for people, oceans and aquatic environments against accidental pollution, drawing on our expertise, services and environmental and social commitments.

With its solid experience and driven by its convictions, our team strives to improve its practices and bring these commitments to life on a daily basis.

CEDRE CSR commitment

« Protecting people and biodiversity, guaranteeing the integrity of our results, uniting our teams around innovative projects and taking care of our employees: such are the commitments that shape our CSR strategy and guide our everyday actions. »

Christophe Logette, Director of CEDRE

Reflecting our commitments, our ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 v2015 certifications illustrate the actions taken at CEDRE to guarantee our clients and partners a high-quality service based on continuous improvement and environmental impact management. These certifications testify to our commitment to actively contributing to sustainable development and adapting our practices to the challenges of climate change.

ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications

An internal working group, set up in 2022, is tasked with putting forward environmental initiatives and assessing their effectiveness.

Our initiatives focus on three core areas and are being further developed to increase their effectiveness and expand their scope.

Safety, skills and well-being: a key promise to our team

The health and safety of our teams are a key priority. We guarantee a safe and healthy working environment thanks to our strict procedures, regular training and appropriate equipment.

Our employees receive continuous professional development training to upgrade their skills, and we take particular care over the induction of new recruits to familiarise them with our field of activity, our values and our culture. We also promote the onboarding of interns and work-study students, hosting an average of 15 young people each year, and encourage collaborative work within our teams.

Finally, we seek to ensure employee fulfilment and equality in the workplace: we value diversity in our employees’ profiles and backgrounds, guarantee an inclusive environment conducive to employee well-being, and offer all our staff the opportunity to play an active role in our efforts to improve working conditions.

Caring for the environment: a constant commitment

We limit our water and energy consumption by optimising our practices and modernising our equipment. In practical terms, we raise awareness among our employees about eco-friendly practices, use rainwater for equipment cleaning, and have signed an agreement with a neighbouring organisation which provides us with a supply of filtered seawater for our technical and experimentation facilities.

We contribute to biodiversity conservation by installing beehives, planting fruit trees and implementing ecologically oriented maintenance of our green spaces.

We reduce, sort and recycle our waste to minimise our impact and act responsibly, implementing concrete measures such as selective collection, composting organic waste, repairing damaged glassware, and cleaning and disinfecting helmets and boots used during our training courses for reuse. We also closely monitor our discharges and outputs via specific registers.

CEDRE collaboration and partnerships

Ethics, transparency and collaboration, at the heart of our work

We are committed to ensuring neutrality, ethics and transparency in all our work. We strive to ensure that our practices are responsible and comply with the highest standards, with complete integrity.

We pay particular attention to the environmental practices of our suppliers and prioritise local sourcing.

We work in synergy with authorities, industry, local authorities and scientific communities. Through our partnerships, we are able to carry out many collaborative projects, including internationally, with the shared goal of improving aquatic pollution response practices.
