50th anniversary of the Sept-Îles National Nature Reserve

On 2 July, CEDRE took part, alongside LPO France and its partners, in the celebrations to mark the 50th anniversary of the Sept-Îles National Nature Reserve.

Following the official opening of the exhibition “Puffins in their thousands”, a trip to Rouzic Island was organised to explore the island’s remarkable biodiversity: gannets, grey seals, razorbills, guillemots and, with a bit of luck, a few puffins!

This event also provided an opportunity to reflect on the history of the reserve and the vital role played by LPO in the protection of seabirds, particularly during the Tanio and the Erika oil spills.
