On 3 June, a CEDRE representative led a training session for the Masters students at the World Maritime University (WMU) in Malmö (Sweden), an institution founded by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
This half-day training session, aimed at representatives of maritime administrations from several countries, focused on the management of incidents at sea involving hazardous and noxious substances (HNS). The discussions focused on international conventions relating to preparedness, compensation, documentation and risk assessment, as well as the various tactical options for response operations at sea.
This talk fell within CEDRE’s mission to share its expertise and strengthen the capabilities of international stakeholders involved in the management of accidental marine pollution.
