Pollution risk assessment for Yeu-Noirmoutier offshore wind farm

Under the assistance agreement for contingency planning and emergency response with Les Éoliennes en Mer Services (LEMS), a group from CEDRE travelled to the offshore electrical substation for the Yeu-Noirmoutier wind farm.

This visit was part of the final stage of a study into the management of spill risks associated with this type of facility. Now that the farm is operational, CEDRE is supporting LEMS in identifying potential risks and defining appropriate response strategies in case of a spill.

This assignment illustrates CEDRE’s support for offshore renewable energy players, in order to strengthen operational preparedness and contribute to the protection of the marine environment.
