Kick-off meeting for the POLARIS project (2026–2028)

On 9 April, CEDRE was in Santander (Spain) for the kick-off meeting of the DG ECHO-funded POLARIS project (2026-2028). This project aims to strengthen the preparedness and response capacity of European and national institutions in relation to plastic pellet spill emergencies in the marine environment. The project will implement an integrated approach combining scientific research, technological innovation and the strengthening of operational response capacities. The project consortium is coordinated by IHCantabria (Spain) and comprises five other partners from three European countries: AZTI (Spain), SASEMAR (Spain), CEDRE (France), Météo-France (France) and the Norwegian Coastal Administration (NCA, Norway).
