Inland waters spill response training for SDIS 95

From 29 June to 3 July, a team of ten officers from the Val-d’Oise Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS 95), specialised in CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) and chemical risks, attended a training course organised by CEDRE on spill response in inland waters.

The course combined theory modules, presentations of past incidents as well as practical sessions held at the Finistère fire and rescue service’s departmental training centre, at CEDRE’s training facilities and in a natural environment, on the banks of the River Penfeld in Brest.

Through this training course, the participants were able to boost their skills in the preparedness for and management of spills in inland waters.
