IBAIA project: a promising sensor tested in the field

From 6 to 9 July, CEDRE organised a test campaign for the IBAIA prototype, which comprises electrochemical sensors and a microfluidic system designed to measure nitrate, phosphate, cadmium and arsenic concentrations in fresh and seawater, with the support of the project partners: BRGM, IFREMER, CNRS and ENSCR.

These tests are an important milestone in the development of innovative solutions for water quality monitoring.

A presentation on how the sensors work was also given to firefighters specialised in chemical hazards from the Finistère fire and rescue service (SDIS 29). These discussions were the chance to share the project’s progress and gather feedback from users in the field, which is essential for adapting the technologies to operational needs.
