Published on 08.10.2026
From October 6 to 8, 2026, CEDRE participated in Sea Tech Week, an international event for marine sciences and technologies held in Brest. The program included a presentation of its activities at a stand, participation in several workshops, and the organization of a drone demonstration.
Exchanges around maritime issues
Throughout the week, the CEDRE stand provided an opportunity to present its missions and expertise in preventing and combating accidental water pollution.
CEDRE also took part in several thematic workshops. Notably, it organized the workshop "Ammonia, a fuel for maritime transport" on Tuesday, October 6, contributing to the definition of the themes addressed and the search for speakers.
Furthermore, CEDRE participated in two other workshops:
-
Marine pollution in the Atlantic, on Tuesday, October 6;
-
SaferSEA, on Wednesday, October 7 at 9:30 AM.
These exchange sessions addressed various scientific and technical issues related to maritime challenges and industry developments, while fostering knowledge sharing between members of the maritime and scientific communities.
A drone demonstration at CEDRE
On the afternoon of Wednesday, October 7, CEDRE hosted a drone demonstration organized as part of the SaferSEA project, alongside Sea Tech Week.
Throughout the afternoon, participants discovered the use of aerial and maritime drones in accidental pollution situations. They also had the opportunity to explore CEDRE's experimental tools dedicated to pollution response, as well as the European project IBAIA.
This edition of Sea Tech Week was an opportunity for CEDRE to showcase its expertise, share its knowledge, and contribute to discussions on innovations and the scientific and technical challenges of the maritime sector.
