IMPOLEST
Development of an operational tool to facilitate crisis management for ecological impact assessment and monitoring in the event of an oil spill in an estuary
The aim of the IMPOLEST project is to develop an operational tool to facilitate crisis management for ecological impact assessment and monitoring following an oil spill in an estuary.
This tool takes the form of a framework document drafted and approved by scientific experts and applicable to the main estuarine environments on the French Atlantic coast. It is intended for the authorities, the State and local government, in charge of setting up an ecological impact assessment and monitoring programme following a significant oil spill.
