During the month of September, the DDTM 62 and DDTM 76 each organized a POLMAR-Land exercise: in Le Touquet and in the marshes of the Canche estuary, and in Le Havre and the Seine estuary. The National POLMAR-Land Center (PNE) from the DGAMPA and CEDRE were present alongside municipal services to train participants and oversee crisis management exercises, as well as practical workshops for deploying equipment on the shoreline: setting up booms, shoreline cleaning, reconnaissance, etc.
These two exercises notably helped raise participants' awareness of the specificities of marshes, high-stake environments that are particularly sensitive to pollution and require adapted response techniques. They were also an opportunity to involve site managers and users in the preparation and implementation of accidental pollution response measures. These exercises are essential for maintaining skills, testing systems, and strengthening collective preparedness in the face of shoreline pollution.
