EMSA-IMO alternative fuels event

CEDRE took part in an event organised by IMO and EMSA, with support from the World Maritime University (WMU) on strengthening seafarers' competence for alternative fuels and new technologies, held at the European Maritime Safety Agency’s premises.

CEDRE gave a presentation on the “Implications for emergency response and associated training needs for seafarers”, focusing particularly on ammonia and methanol.  This event provided the opportunity to share the results of projects and experimental studies carried out on new shipping fuels, and to contribute to discussions on the competence requirements for their use in the maritime sector.
