Over the past two weeks, CEDRE has welcomed a Taiwanese delegation led by the Ocean Conservation Administration (OCA), bringing together representatives from several government agencies, including the Ministry of National Defense and the Coast Guard Administration, as well as private sector partners, as part of a training programme dedicated to the management of marine pollution caused by oil and chemical products.

During this programme, our experts shared their scientific, technical, and operational expertise in order to contribute to strengthening participants’ capabilities in marine pollution preparedness and response.

The programme was also enriched by the participation of the Finistère Firefighters, which carried out a demonstration of the operational capabilities of aerial drones, as well as the Brest Marine Firefighters, who presented the protective and detection equipment required during the reconnaissance phase in the event of chemical pollution.

Beyond the technical aspects, this training fostered valuable and constructive exchanges while strengthening essential international cooperation for maritime safety and the protection of the marine environment.
