Welcoming a Mauritanian delegation to CEDRE

CEDRE had the pleasure of receiving a delegation from Mauritania, visiting as part of the review of its National Oil Spill Contingency Plan (POLMAR) and the strengthening of its national response system. This delegation brought together representatives from the Mauritanian Maritime Affairs Agency, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum, the Environmental Commission, and the Mauritanian Hydrocarbons Company (SMH).

This week consisted of technical exchanges with CEDRE teams on spill preparedness and response, a tour of the facilities, as well as working sessions on the provisions of Mauritania's POLMAR Plan, conducted with CEDRE and the Global Initiative for West, Central and Southern Africa (GI WACAF).
