Sharing of expertise and crisis exercise for CEDRE in Taiwan
Published on 03.10.2026
From September 28 to October 3, 2026, two members of CEDRE traveled to Taipei (Taiwan) at the invitation of the Ocean Conservation Administration (OCA). This trip was organized around two complementary parts. The first was to participate in the International Forum on Marine Environment and Marine Debris (September 29 and 30) to present CEDRE's expertise in dealing with oil, HNS, and aquatic waste pollution. CEDRE then took part, along with Taiwanese authorities, in a crisis management exercise simulating a maritime accident, before conducting a series of technical visits to the infrastructure of the OCA and the SERT (Southern Emergency Response Training and Logistics Center). This mission helped consolidate operational links with local authorities and discuss prospects for increasing this collaboration.
