Update of Malta's National Marine Pollution Contingency Plan

Transport Malta, the authority responsible for developing and updating Malta's national response plan for marine pollution, has chosen CEDRE to assist in developing the shoreline response section of the plan. CEDRE visited the archipelago from March 22nd to 28th to meet with the main services involved in marine pollution response and to better understand the constraints and challenges of the coastline. Organized by Transport Malta, this first mission notably allowed us to conduct various work sessions dedicated to key shoreline intervention themes and to visit several sites representative of the richness and diversity of the Maltese coast. A second mission is scheduled for the end of the year.
