Objectives
- Refresh skills and knowledge in order and update theoretical and practical knowledge of response strategies and techniques in case of oil spills at sea and on the shoreline
Content
- Topics covered during the course:
- Initial measures
- Pollutant analysis and behaviour
- Aerial observation and slick drift
- Response at sea
- Response on the shoreline
- Waste management
- The different topics are illustrated by a case study
- This refresher course also includes a virtual classroom activity on a topic to be selected from several on offer, at a date scheduled by CEDRE
Resources
- Equipment required: reliable internet access, Google Chrome browser, ideally headphones
- This module includes access to a glossary, additional tools and resources (such as CEDRE operational guides) as well as a help forum where trainees can interact with each other and with th trainers.
Skills assessment
- A certificate of completion is issued once all the training modules have been completed
