Monte Ulia

On 26 July 1970, the Spanish tanker the Monte Ulia collided with a pier on the river Thames. 500 tonnes of crude and fuel were spilled into the river. The total cost for the damages amounted to £900,000 (1.35 million euros). Cleaning costs were of £200,000 (0.3 million euros).
