National workshop on the revision and extension of Ghana’s National Pollution Control Plan

CEDRE participated, in an advisory and facilitating capacity alongside RLC Consulting, in the national workshop on the revision and extension of Ghana’s national oil spill response plan, held in Accra from 12 to 14 May.

The workshop was organised by Ghana’s Environmental Protection Authority, with the support of the Global Initiative for West, Central and Southern Africa. The event brought together representatives from the main ministries involved in preparedness and response, the armed forces and the oil industry, amongst others.

Discussions and scenario exercises provided an opportunity to explore ways of improving the national response system for managing interventions at sea and along the coast, and to extend the provisions to Lake Volta.
